Specialising in high-end luxury interior design in Devon and Cornwall and based in the beautiful Tamar Valley, Frances boasts over 30 years of experience in crafting exquisite interiors for premium luxury residential properties for private clients.
Having trained and worked for 15 years at top London interior design firm Charles Hammond, Frances honed her skills designing an array of properties, from classic period houses in South West London and contemporary Thames riverside apartments to the elite country estates in Surrey, Sussex, Hampshire and the Home Counties.
Twenty years ago, Frances brought her knowledge and expertise back to Devon and Cornwall, where she grew up, and now operates her own high-end interior design practice.
Known for her friendly and approachable nature, excellent listening skills, high energy, enthusiasm, and keen eye for detail, Frances excels in colour usage and possesses expansive knowledge, superb efficiency, and endless patience in every project she undertakes.

Continuing to work with prestigious residential properties, Frances can often be found restoring grand granite manor houses on the moors of Dartmoor, Bodmin, and Exmoor, or meticulously designing contemporary new-build homes along the stunning North or South coasts of the West Country landscapes. With high demand for top-end holiday cottages, Frances now adds another string to her design bow, creating luxurious 'home from home' experiences for holiday visitors.
Operating from her studio in the Tamar Valley, Frances is perfectly positioned to access the picturesque South Devon coastal towns of Salcombe and Dartmouth or the charming Dartmoor villages of Chagford and Moretonhampstead. Equally, she can venture further into South Cornwall to explore Fowey, St Mawes, and the Helford River, or travel to the dramatic and rugged North Cornish Coast towards St Ives, Padstow, or Rock. Frances has been passionate about colour since her childhood, and her love for creating stylish interiors was born from the opportunity to choose wallpaper, colours, and curtains for her own bedroom in her parents' Georgian house in Cornwall. After completing art college, Frances joined Charles Hammond Ltd on Sloane Street, London, where she gained invaluable knowledge and expertise that she still applies today.
Now residing in the picturesque Southern Tamar Valley, with her husband and Spaniel, Barney, Frances finds endless inspiration for her interior design projects in the surrounding countryside and dramatic coastlines. Regular visits to trade shows in London and Paris ensure her address book remains filled with contacts, from local artisans in the West Country to those across the UK, mainland Europe, and beyond – some of whom she has worked with for over 30 years. As an artist at heart, Frances relishes the creative process and considers houses her canvas, delighting in playing with light, colours, patterns, and textures to create truly exceptional interiors.
