The beginning… it starts with a simple informal meeting. The client relationship is key to a successful project – our stars and planets must be aligned. Decorating a house should be fun, but often can feel overwhelming so you need a friend who you can trust and work with. We will discuss how you live in your house every day, how you move around it, how you entertain in it and how you and your family use it– it all stems from this. I will always balance style with practicality, the design must work for you and capture your soul.

The middle..… we must start with the basics. A simple furniture layout is key to any room plan – locating furniture in the right position to enjoy an open fire, watch TV or catch the evening sun, needs to be planned from the beginning. This will set the basis for the whole scheme. A lighting plan follows which falls into two parts – functional and fabulous – at this stage, functionality is key. Locations of downlights, pendants, sockets and switching patterns must all be considered.
Next on the list is flooring which could include stone, wood, tiles, natural flooring or carpet. These decisions will allow for flow and continuity throughout the house. I collaborate closely with local specialists in kitchen and bathroom design, combining their incredible expertise with my design influence. I will hold your hand through the detailed decisions relating to product, style, colour and finish.
Fabric is the palette of my trade and I will mix an eclectic marriage of joyous colour, with layers of pattern and texture to create schemes unique to you. Carefully chosen furniture, upholstery, decorative lighting, rugs and cushions will all be thought through and selected in conjunction with our chosen schemes and incorporating all those thoughts and desires from our initial wish-list.

Behind the scenes... This is the point where you kick back and relax, with all the decisions made, for you, the hard work is done. The building team can start their list of chores and I will work tirelessly behind the scenes to make all the magic happen. I will continue to liaise with your architect, site managers and external contractors to check and double check that everything is going according to plan and that there are no hic-cups.
I will be fully immersed in the detail and planning of your project so that every item will be considered down to the position of a door handle, the colour of a chair leg or the size of a bed cushion.
I will co-ordinate with suppliers on your behalf, all the soft furnishings, furniture and finishing touches will be delivered to my secure warehouse, where I will check, collate and store it all until the day of installation arrives.
